Total Number of Miles Biked - 1,797
The number of miles I biked this week is way down as we were out of town this past weekend visiting Ken's daughter Mary and her husband Kurt and our grandson Luke. The great news is that Luke got a balance bike for his birthday and loves to ride. It won't be long and he'll be headed to Iowa for Ragbrai!!

Every five minutes or so Luke would get off his bike to check the tires. His expertise will come in handy as soon as he is old enough to ride with us as he can help change our flats, which we seem to have fairly often.
As I promised here are some more of our pictures from Ragbrai.
This wonderful lake was along the side of the road, complete with a tower to swing off of.
As you can see it was a very popular spot on a very hot day!
Britta is already to take a dip. I must admit that I chickened out and opted to be the photographer.
However, I did do one of the slippery slides along the way. It felt great!
Another great slide!

| This slide had a little too much soap. |
Nothing like the Miller Foam Machine and a cold beer after riding all day!
Many of the towns have cutouts for photo opportunities.
I tried to look the part.
What happens in the cornfields, stays in the cornfield!
In the host towns there are tents everywhere without much space in between.
All ready for a good night's sleep!
This was the 3rd year that Lance Armstrong rode part of Ragbrai.
Getting ready for Rodeo Season! I might need a change of clothes, real cowgirls would never wear Spandex.
I'll bet this is the first time you have seen decorated hay bails.
More pictures with my update next week!
