Biking for Dollars - Week 17

I had a great week of biking going 186 miles for a total of 2,847 miles since June 1st.

Great News!  They are installing lighting along the 7 1/2 mile stretch of the bike trail that runs from Griffith Park to Riverside Drive and should be completed in about 6 weeks.  It is an area that you would not really want to ride alone, however I have been busy recruiting riders for Ragbrai next summer so hopefully we can ride the trail a couple of nights a week during the winter months as part of our training.

The city workers were out on both Saturday and Sunday preparing to install lights and that means OVERTIME!   I thought the city had a budget crisis!!

This photo was taken at the Rose Bowl as they were filming a Microsoft commercial using this boat.  They would not let me get any closer with my camera.

I biked alone this past week so I rode in areas that I know well so the opportunity to take some interesting photos never presented itself.
